
Director Schools Balochistan Munir Ahmed Nodizai Hails Mir Arshad Kalmat’s Efforts; Says Promotion of Sports Alongside Education Vital for a Healthy, Talented and Active Society
GWADAR (K.N) The girls’ events of the Mir Kalmat Inter-Educational Sports Festival 2026 continued with great enthusiasm on the second day, featuring exciting football and cricket competitions among educational institutions.
The festival is being organized through the joint collaboration and support of the Education Department, Private Schools Association and Gwadar Development Authority.
In the football competitions, Darul Uloom Public School Gwadar defeated Government Girls Higher Secondary School Gwadar, while Gwadar Grammar School defeated Government Girls High School Shambe Ismail Gwadar.
In cricket, Bahria Model College Gwadar defeated University of Gwadar, while Government Girls High School Shambe Ismail defeated Government Girls High School Bakhshi Colony to qualify for the second round.
Director Schools Balochistan Munir Ahmed Nodizai was the chief guest at the competitions.
On the occasion, Chairman Mir Abdul Ghafoor Kalmat Welfare Foundation Gwadar Mir Arshad Kalmat, District Education Officer Zahid Hussain, Deputy DEO Hassan-ul-Islam, Headmistress Government Girls Higher Secondary School Gwadar Madam Rashida Afzal, Head of Girls’ Events Madam Bilqees Suleman, District Sports Supervisor Ali Aqib and representatives of the Mir Foundation, among others, were present.
The chief guest met the players and greeted them, while appreciating the efforts of Mir Arshad Kalmat for organizing positive and healthy activities for students.
Munir Ahmed Nodizai said that promoting sports alongside education was essential for building a healthy, talented and dynamic society. He added that such initiatives help develop discipline, teamwork and positive thinking among young people.
