
Department Heads Briefed on Administrative Challenges and Public Service Delivery; Strict Instructions Issued to Ensure Staff Attendance, Office Discipline, Transparency and Timely Resolution of Citizens’ Complaints
NASIRABAD (K.N) A meeting of heads of all district departments of Nasirabad was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Nasirabad Virender Lal to review the performance of various government departments, issues faced by offices, attendance of officers and staff, public service delivery and administrative matters.
During the meeting, heads of various departments briefed the deputy commissioner about issues faced by their respective offices and other administrative matters. Detailed discussions were also held on ensuring the timely and regular attendance of officers and employees.
The participants also put forward various suggestions aimed at resolving public complaints promptly and improving transparency and efficiency in the delivery of government services.
Addressing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Virender Lal directed all heads of departments posted in Nasirabad to consider public service their foremost responsibility and perform their duties with honesty, sincerity and a strong sense of responsibility.
He said the primary responsibility of government officers was to listen to citizens’concerns and take effective measures for their timely resolution.
The deputy commissioner directed all district officers to ensure not only their own attendance but also the regular attendance and punctuality of their subordinate officers and employees. He made it clear that absenteeism, negligence or unnecessary delays in public matters would not be tolerated.
Virender Lal further said government offices had been established to serve the public and citizens should not be subjected to unnecessary difficulties, prolonged waiting or repeated visits to offices for the resolution of legitimate issues.
He directed heads of all departments to ensure discipline, transparency and a professional administrative environment in their offices so that citizens could receive timely and quality government services.
The deputy commissioner said the district administration would extend all possible cooperation to improve the performance of government departments and provide relief to the public. However, he stressed that officers and employees must also recognize their responsibilities and ensure that there was no negligence in public service delivery.
The meeting resolved to further improve the effectiveness of government institutions in Nasirabad and make the resolution of public issues the top priority of the district administration.
