Digital Monitoring of Hospitals, BHUs, Labour Rooms and Other Health Facilities at District Level a Major Step, Says Jaffar Khan Mandokhail
QUETTA (Graid Balochistan News Daily): Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhail met with Provincial Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar to discuss the overall healthcare situation in the province, performance of health facilities, availability of medicines, attendance of doctors and paramedical staff, and ongoing reforms in the health sector, particularly the implementation of the Digitalized Health Information System.
During the meeting, Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhail said that introducing new reforms in any ministry reflected the vision of the concerned minister and his team, their understanding of prevailing circumstances and their awareness of emerging needs.
He said the implementation of a Digitalized Health Information System in the health sector was tantamount to laying strong, stable and modern foundations for the entire healthcare system.
The governor said the establishment of the New Trauma Centre and the digital monitoring of hospitals, basic health units, labour rooms and other healthcare facilities at the district level was a significant development.
He emphasized that relying solely on provincial resources was not sufficient to provide healthcare facilities in remote and underdeveloped areas of the province.
He said it was essential to benefit from the support, technical guidance and capacity-building programmes offered by United Nations agencies and other international organizations to improve healthcare services across Balochistan.
